Those were some of the goals of the annual Provincial Assembly, which drew 80Viatorian associates, brothers and priests to gather in the cradle of the community, Bourbonnais, IL.

The three-day assembly took place during the an historic year, 150 years after the first Viatorians arrived in Bourbonnais to begin their ministry in this country.

But Viatorians did more than celebrate their milestone anniversary. The assembly was a working gathering.

“As we look to our future, we must find ways to bring discipleship and evangelization — of whom we believe Christ to be — in our world today,” said Fr. Thomas von Behren, CSV, provincial. “How can we be disciples in our world today — and how can we be disciples as Viatorians?”
